Two charged over taxi driver knife attack

About 4:30am, on Sunday, March 27, a taxi driver was flagged down by three men while driving along Toronto Parade at Jannali. Police will allege the passengers asked the driver to take them to Caringbah before they changed their mind and directed him to stop in Moona Road, Kirrawee. When the taxi driver stopped, the men got out of the taxi without paying the fare. One of the men allegedly returned to the vehicle where he stole a portable radio from inside the taxi and walked off. The taxi driver left his vehicle and approached the man when he was allegedly threatened with a knife. He fled back to his taxi and drove to Sutherland Police Station where he reported the incident.
