Company to announce Gold Coast draft water prices

Gold Coast Mayor Ron Clarke says water giant Allconnex has bowed to pressure from the council and community and will release details of draft water pricing this afternoon. He says the company's CEO and chairman of Allconnex, Kim Wood, will provide a confidential briefing to councillors in Nerang this afternoon. Councillor Clarke says he has been told the price structure will be released shortly after but that information has been slow to trickle though. "Blame me, because of the unrest in the community, I said the quicker we can get this out the better and they've said ...we'll try and cooperate," he said.
